Staff Systems/Software Test Engineer - L2/L3 protocol

Lead multiple project teams responsible for all stages of system, equipment, and device testing, including test plan design, validation, tooling, execution, and evaluation.

Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced test partners, ensuring compliance with technology and testing standards and providing actionable feedback to improve product quality and reduce failure risk.

Provide domain-specific test engineering leadership and innovation, mentor less-experienced staff, and integrate new technologies into test engineering activities.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

Typically 8-12 years of relevant work experience.

Mandatory hands-on experience with multicast networking, VXLAN EVPN, BGP and OSPF routing protocols, DHCP server/relay configurations, 802.1X authentication, basic networking and switching concepts (VLAN, STP, link aggregation).

Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation and network validation.

Role is Onsite primarily at HPE office in India.

Experienced test engineering leader with strong technical expertise in L2/L3 network protocols and multicast networking, able to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage internal and external partnerships.

Demonstrates advanced knowledge in routing and access protocols and applies this expertise to test planning, execution, and feedback to improve product reliability.

Strategic innovator who drives technology integration into testing methodologies and mentors junior staff to elevate overall team capability.
