Serve as Subject Matter Expert on fund structures, investor economics, and complex accounting treatments like carried interest and FX remeasurement.
Review and validate journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness for private equity funds.
Prepare and review quarterly/annual financial statements under US GAAP/IFRS; support valuation, regulatory reporting, and process improvement initiatives including automation.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance required; CPA/ACA preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in private equity fund accounting or alternative investments.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS, ASC 946/820, waterfall mechanics, investor economics mandatory.
Proficiency with PE accounting platforms (Investran, eFront, Allvue) and advanced Excel skills mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in private equity or alternative investment fund accounting with strong technical competence in ASC 946/820 and fund terms interpretation.
Operates with high attention to detail and accuracy managing complex reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting with zero material errors.
Proactive in process improvement and automation, capable of coaching junior staff and clearly communicating technical accounting concepts to diverse stakeholders.
