Design, develop, and support NAS file protocol and storage system solutions focusing on SMB and NFS protocols.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues across file protocols, filesystems, I/O, OS, networking, and storage layers including performance and failover problems.
Develop and maintain low-level utilities, automation, and diagnostic tools primarily in C and C++, supporting testing for data integrity, scalability, and resiliency.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics, or related field.
Approximately 15 years of experience in systems engineering, storage engineering, or protocol engineering.
Strong expertise in NAS file protocols (SMB, NFS) and deep understanding of file and storage concepts.
Proficiency in C and C++ programming and experience with Linux/Unix OS level system calls and debugging tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced with low-level system programming and debugging complex storage, network, and protocol interactions.
Capable of working cross-functionally with development, QA, and support teams to drive issue resolution and product reliability improvements.
Familiar with cloud or hybrid storage environments and comfortable building diagnostic and automation tools using scripting (Python, Shell, Perl preferred).
