Lead design, development, and support of NAS file protocol and storage system solutions, focusing on SMB, NFS, and associated layers.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across OS, storage, networking, and protocol layers including debugging complex issues and log/packet/trace analysis.
Develop and maintain low-level utilities and automation tools in C/C++ and scripting languages to improve performance, reliability, and testing of storage/file services.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics, or related field.
Approximately 15 years of experience in systems, storage, or protocol engineering.
Strong expertise in NAS file protocols (SMB, NFS) and deep understanding of file and storage system concepts.
Proficiency in C and C++ programming and solid experience with Linux/Unix OS, system calls, file systems, and system-level debugging.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in cross-layer debugging from protocol to OS and network level in storage environments, comfortable handling complex root cause investigations.
Strong background in NAS file protocol internals (SMB/CIFS, NFSv3/4), performance tuning, and validation in hybrid or cloud storage contexts.
Operates effectively in cross-functional teams involving development, QA, and support, with a focus on technical ownership and delivering reliable file and storage solutions.
