About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and REST APIs using Python frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
- Optimize database schemas, SQL queries, and overall API and database performance handling high traffic and concurrency.
- Collaborate with UI/Frontend teams on API contracts and integrate backend services with third-party APIs, ensuring security and reliability.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on Python development.
- Proven experience with FastAPI or Flask, asynchronous programming (asyncio), REST APIs, and concurrency.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), including schema design and query optimization.
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, Linux, and CI/CD processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building high concurrency, scalable backend systems with performance optimizations.
- Comfortable working closely with UI/Frontend teams and integrating third-party systems via APIs.
- Background or interest in asynchronous programming, message queues (e.g., Redis, Kafka), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
