Senior Software Engineer- AI

Lead and deliver moderately complex technology initiatives including design, development, testing, debugging, documentation, upgrades, and deployments within AI-enabled engineering environments.

Apply AI-first engineering practices and tools to improve code quality, productivity, reliability, and automation, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and responsible AI/data usage.

Mentor junior engineers, lead technical decision-making, engage in code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and communicate technical status and risks to stakeholders.

4+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent through work, training, military, or education.

Strong hands-on experience with Java, Kafka, Python, and frameworks aligned with team technology stack.

Experience with AI-powered engineering tools and ability to apply AI-assisted development practices at scale.

Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/DevOps workflows, source control, CI/CD pipelines, security, compliance, and production support experience including incident management.

Experienced engineer capable of independently leading moderate to high complexity projects with measurable impact and technical ownership in AI-augmented software development.

Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools responsibly into software engineering lifecycle to improve developer efficiency and product quality.

Strong communicator and mentor with proven skills in guiding junior staff, driving technical discussions, and embedding compliance and security controls into design and operations.
