Develop, execute, and automate comprehensive test plans for Layer 2/Layer 3 networking protocols to validate feature functionality and performance.
Design and enhance test automation frameworks and scripts (using Python PyTest and Robot Framework) to improve test coverage and efficiency.
Use networking test equipment (e.g., Spirent, Ixia) to generate traffic, automate tests, and troubleshoot complex issues affecting protocol implementations.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
1-3 years of relevant work experience in protocol testing or networking domain.
In-depth knowledge of switches, routers, IP networking fundamentals, and expertise in Layer 2 or Layer 3 networking protocols as specified (e.g., STP, RSTP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
Ability to use and automate networking test tools like Spirent and Ixia. Onsite work at HPE office is mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience operating independently within established frameworks with moderate supervision, capable of troubleshooting and resolving complex networking test issues.
Specialized knowledge in service provider or data centre networking technologies, especially L2 or L3 protocols and virtualization techniques such as EVPN-VXLAN.
Skilled in developing and maintaining automation frameworks and test scripts to optimize testing processes and coverage in networking environments.
