Software Development Engineer III (Java Backend)

Design and build robust Java backend services for vehicle turnaround and branch-level fleet orchestration workflows.

Contribute to distributed, event-driven system design that operates at both branch level and global scale.

Develop and maintain shared libraries and internal tools to improve reliability and delivery speed across the BranchOps engineering team.

7–9 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, including cloud-native application development and event-driven system design.

Strong production-proven experience with Java and Spring Boot in a microservices environment (mandatory).

Degree: B.Tech, B.E., or Master's in Computer Science or closely related discipline.

Experience with distributed systems, event-driven patterns, pub-sub models, and message brokers like Apache Kafka.

Experienced in building and operating scalable, distributed microservices in real-world operational settings, preferably in a start-up or scale-up environment.

Familiar with integrating AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) into development workflows to enhance productivity while exercising engineering judgment.

Capable of translating complex business workflows into scalable backend solutions and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
