Lead design and deployment of machine learning and AI solutions impacting Research Innovation, Quality Food Safety, and Sales.
Develop, validate, and deploy advanced ML models (e.g., CatBoost, XGBoost, deep learning) for forecasting, optimization, recommendation systems, and causal inference applications.
Collaborate with business leaders and data engineers to translate business needs into AI products, drive data strategy, and mentor junior data scientists.
Minimum Requirements
7+ years of experience in Data Science, preferably in a fast-paced, complex business environment.
MSc, PhD, or advanced degree in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or a closely related field.
Technical skills: Python, pandas, numpy, Spark, Git, ML modeling (supervised and unsupervised), statistics, causal inference, optimization; experience with Databricks, MLFlow, Mosaic, Microsoft Foundry; Azure cloud is a plus.
Location requirement: Position based in Barcelona.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in applying state-of-the-art AI techniques including generative AI, reinforcement learning, and causal inference to solve business challenges.
Strong ability to translate complex analytics into actionable business insights across multiple domains such as QFS, R&I, Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
Proven mentorship experience guiding junior data scientists and implementing best practices in model governance and evaluation frameworks.
