Principal Infrastructure Engineer - Major Incident Manager

Serve as Incident Commander for major incidents impacting enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud, and critical services, leading rapid resolution and minimizing business impact.

Lead coordination and technical response across multiple teams including Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, Database, Middleware, Applications, Cybersecurity, and SRE to drive incident recovery and root cause analysis.

Partner with SRE and Engineering to improve service reliability, conduct post-incident reviews, implement operational improvements, and produce executive-level incident communications and metrics.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

12+ years of experience in Technology Operations, Production Support, Incident Management, SRE, or Enterprise Technology Services.

Mandatory banking, insurance, or regulated financial services experience in large-scale enterprise environments.

Proven expertise in Major Incident Management with ability to lead Severity 1 / Critical incidents and coordinate cross-technical teams.

Experienced leader capable of owning high-pressure incident command with strong stakeholder communication skills, including executive reporting.

Technically proficient across infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), monitoring/observability tools, and ITIL-aligned incident/problem/change frameworks.

Familiar with enterprise-scale operational resilience, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives in regulated financial services settings.
