Lead architecture and optimization of hardware-agnostic embedded firmware for next-gen Residential Gateways supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7.
Own Linux wireless stack design and performance profiling using tools like perf and Valgrind to ensure carrier-grade stability.
Develop and automate testing frameworks with Python to ensure robust code quality throughout the firmware lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 10 years of embedded firmware development experience in telecom, networking, or residential gateways.
Expertise in C and modern C++ for resource-constrained embedded systems.
Extensive experience with Embedded Linux development, specifically OpenWrt or prplOS.
In-depth knowledge of broadband device management standards (TR-181 and USP/TR-369) and containerized microservices using Docker and prpl LCM.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong technical leader capable of mentoring teams and setting embedded firmware architecture and best practices.
Deep specialization in Linux wireless stack, profiling/debugging tools, and network protocol design at Layers 2 and 3.
Experience with SoC abstraction layers for Broadcom or MaxLinear platforms and familiarity with IPC frameworks like ubus and iMTP.
