Own and operate localization automation tooling and CI/CD pipelines for phone, PC, and tablet products to ensure global readiness of UI and app content.
Independently troubleshoot and resolve routine pipeline, tooling, encoding, and platform-specific issues to prevent localization work blockages.
Maintain Jenkins and GitHub Actions workflows, collaborate with linguists and engineers, and guide localization engineering standards and automation roadmap (senior level).
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
3-6+ years experience in localization engineering, software development, or related technical role (mid-level from 3 years; senior from 5+ years).
Strong proficiency in Python scripting, Shell/Bash/PowerShell, Git command-line operations, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, and familiarity with localization file formats (XML, JSON, CSV, YAML).
Experience with GitHub or Gerrit workflows and troubleshooting encoding, layout, file conversion, or resource integration issues.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Mid to senior-level localization engineer or software developer with strong automation and CI/CD pipeline experience focused on localization.
Comfortable working independently on command-line tools across multiple platforms (Windows, Ubuntu, Android, iOS) and integrating with cross-functional teams like linguists and platform engineers.
Experience mentoring or leading small engineering teams is a plus for senior candidates, with added familiarity with AI-assisted engineering practices for scripting and debugging.
