About This Role
- Lead and contribute to design and development of Java microservices for production environments using Java 17+, Spring Boot/Spring Cloud.
- Manage and improve distributed systems and transactional data patterns with Kafka integration and cloud-native deployments on Kubernetes/AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Ensure software quality through comprehensive testing (unit, integration, E2E, performance) and observability practices, while reviewing architectural/vendor deliverables and guiding remediation.
Minimum Requirements
- 8-12+ years professional software development experience; 5+ years in Java microservices production development.
- Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot/Spring Cloud, Gradle/Maven, REST/JSON, Kafka (streams, schema registry, consumer groups).
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for production workloads including networking and service mesh.
- Testing expertise across unit, contract, integration, E2E, performance and familiarity with security protocols like OAuth2/OIDC/JWT and vulnerability remediation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building scalable, resilient distributed microservices operating at enterprise scale with strong expertise in transactional data patterns and event-driven architecture.
- Comfortable working with cloud-native infrastructure and observability tools, with ability to review and challenge architectural designs.
- Skilled in complex testing strategies and security practices, able to lead quality and reliability improvements for financial services software.
