Senior Java Developer

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices supporting Caterpillar’s MineStar ecosystem.

Deliver end-to-end features within a Scrum team, including implementation, testing, and release, ensuring quality, security, and reliability.

Take ownership of technical outcomes, participate in design/code reviews, and support production operations including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

7+ years of commercial Java development experience.

Experience with microservices, distributed architectures, Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Python, and building RESTful APIs.

Familiarity with modern database design, cloud infrastructure, build/test/dependency management tools, and security principles.

Work Experience Required: 7+ years in relevant commercial development.

Experienced working in agile Scrum teams delivering enterprise-grade software solutions.

Capable of contributing to solution design and mentoring junior staff, indicating senior-level technical leadership skills.

Comfortable handling operational responsibilities like monitoring and incident resolution in production environments.
