Principal Software Engineer - Backend

Lead design and delivery of complex, scalable backend and full-stack systems focusing on performance, reliability, and security standards.

Drive architecture and implementation of AI-native platform features including agentic workflows executing multi-step tasks in production.

Mentor cross-disciplinary engineering teams and collaborate with product and stakeholders to align technology with business goals, managing end-to-end project lifecycles.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

14+ years of total work experience with at least 4 years in a principal or architect-level position.

Proven expertise in scalable distributed system design, strong programming skills in Python, Node.js, or Java.

Experience building and deploying GenAI or AI-agent capabilities in production, familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies required.

Experienced leader comfortable managing complex projects and mentoring senior engineers across multiple disciplines and technologies.

Strong background integrating AI technologies into production environments, especially agentic AI involving multi-step workflows and retrieval-augmented models.

Skilled at balancing architectural rigor with practical delivery, adept at resolving technical debt and collaborating effectively with product management and cross-functional teams.
