Senior Data Privacy Engineer

Own and govern data privacy and access controls across enterprise data assets, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and operationalizing data protection.

Manage and automate data subject access request (SAR/DSAR) workflows, maintain enterprise PII inventory, and conduct privacy impact assessments.

Develop and maintain data retention, access, quality, and AI governance policies; build dashboards to report privacy and access compliance; collaborate across legal, security, and engineering teams.

8–10 years experience in data privacy, data protection, access governance, or data security in large enterprises.

Strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, DPDPA, ISO 27701 and ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational controls.

Hands-on experience with access governance, including RBAC and ABAC models, access reviews, and entitlement validation.

Proficiency in SQL and Python for querying data assets, validating controls, and automating privacy workflows.

Experienced in implementing and operating data access governance frameworks in enterprise data environments with strong collaboration across security, legal, and platform teams.

Capable of designing and automating privacy operations like PII inventory management and subject access request handling with regulatory adherence.

Skilled in creating and maintaining governance policies and reporting dashboards that track compliance posture and privacy risks at scale.
