Systems/Software Engineer- Software Update QA

Design, execute, and automate software update validation test plans for HPE Alletra Object and File Storage solutions, focusing on software upgrades across storage cluster components and Kubernetes platform updates.

Validate update scenarios involving storage nodes, JBOFs, Ethernet switches, and management services, ensuring cluster health, data integrity, and service availability throughout the update lifecycle.

Develop and maintain automation frameworks and test tools using Python; collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze test results and provide root-cause analysis and release readiness recommendations.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

At least 5 years of experience in software testing, system validation, storage engineering, distributed systems, or related domains.

Strong proficiency in Python programming and automation; working knowledge of JavaScript.

Experience with Linux fundamentals, Kubernetes platforms, storage architectures, and software update or release validation methodologies.

Technical background in validating complex software updates for distributed storage and cloud-native Kubernetes environments.

Experience working in cross-disciplinary teams with strong troubleshooting skills across storage, Kubernetes, Linux, and networking layers.

Ability to develop comprehensive test scenarios simulating production-like environments, including upgrade, rollback, and disaster recovery processes.
