Conduct ongoing cybersecurity assessments of Wabtec products to determine compliance and authorize Cybersecurity Authorization to Operate (CATO).
Advise and support engineering teams in threat and risk assessments, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and implementation of cybersecurity controls across embedded electronics and web systems.
Serve as product cybersecurity point of contact, create training materials, document best practices, and engage with customers to identify security requirements and provide technical guidance.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Minimum 6 years experience in design, development, and/or testing of embedded industrial products and/or web systems.
Minimum 4 years hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience.
Experience with Linux OS (Yocto, Buildroot, Ubuntu), Ethernet communication (UDP, TCP-IP), cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001/2), and cryptography including PKI, secure boot, and key management.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in applying cybersecurity controls to embedded and web systems within industrial or regulated environments such as rail, mining, or automotive sectors.
Skilled at technical consultation and translating complex cybersecurity concepts into business implications for diverse stakeholders including management and engineers.
Proficient in managing multiple projects and stakeholders globally with strong understanding of software development and project lifecycles in industrial product settings.
