Field Deployed Agriculture and Data Engineer

Deploy, calibrate, and maintain Cow Necklace and Sriya AgriVet Monitors in dairy and crop environments with 45-60 day model calibration periods per deployment.

Engage directly with farmers, veterinarians, and cooperatives to understand local conditions and collect sensor and field data, feeding insights back to data science/product teams.

Train end users in their language on device/app use, troubleshoot hardware/software onsite in low-connectivity rural settings, and maintain detailed deployment and user feedback logs.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Agricultural Engineering, Computer Science, or Veterinary Science.

Working knowledge of IoT sensing, data collection, and basic analytics.

Fluent in English plus at least one Indian language (Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Kannada, Punjabi, or Kashmiri).

Willingness to travel extensively to rural/semi-urban districts and operate in low-connectivity, challenging field conditions.

Has practical experience living/working in rural agricultural environments and empathy for farmers and cooperative systems.

Comfortable owning field problems end-to-end—from data collection to influencing model improvements and farmer outcomes.

Ability to communicate complex data insights in clear, farmer-understandable language and adapt to variable, resource-constrained rural settings.
