Lead Software Engineer Java AWS Kafka

Design, develop, and deliver secure, high-quality Java-based software solutions using Spring Boot, AWS, Kafka, and NoSQL within an agile team environment.

Lead adoption and enforcement of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, including AI-assisted code review, testing, and root-cause analysis.

Evaluate and collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and applicability of technologies within existing systems.

Minimum 5 years of applied experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.

Advanced practical skills in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, AWS, Kafka, NoSQL, caching, and cloud-native development.

Experience leading use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with knowledge of responsible AI use, security, and compliance in engineering workflows.

Work Experience Required: 5+ years in software engineering, specifically system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

Experienced in agile software development with strong understanding and practice of CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

Familiar with financial services IT systems and their specific compliance and operational stability needs.

Able to guide teams in secure and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools, ensuring performance and security standards.
