Systems/Software Engineer- Software Update QA

Drive software update validation for HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 Object and File Storage portfolio, ensuring reliability and quality of updates across storage cluster components.

Design, execute, and automate test plans covering storage software, Kubernetes platform upgrades, firmware, OS, and infrastructure to validate update scenarios including upgrade, rollback, and disaster recovery.

Analyze test results, perform root-cause investigations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure release readiness and operational stability throughout update workflows.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in software testing, system validation, storage engineering, distributed systems, or related technical domains.

Strong technical skills in Linux, Kubernetes, distributed storage architectures, networking fundamentals, and Python programming for automation.

Onsite work required at an HPE office (explicit onsite expectation mentioned).

Experienced in validating software releases for enterprise infrastructure or cloud-native platforms with strong systems-level knowledge across storage, Linux, Kubernetes, and networking.

Demonstrates ability to design comprehensive upgrade and rollback test strategies including mixed-version and production-like environment scenarios.

Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify issues and drive root-cause analysis in complex distributed system environments.
