Manage the lifecycle of edge computing devices deployed across remote oil field sites, ensuring their deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
Provide Tier 1/2 operational support for connectivity, firmware, and data integrity issues, working in rotational shifts to support 24/7 operations.
Implement and manage real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting tools; ensure device security compliance; and collaborate with teams to optimize data flow from edge to cloud.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years of experience in edge device management, preferably in industrial or oil & gas environments.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics, or related field.
Strong knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus), edge computing platforms, Linux-based devices, containerization (Docker), and cloud integration (Azure/AWS/GCP).
Work in rotational shifts for 24/7 operational support.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in industrial or oil & gas IoT edge device deployments and remote management.
Technically proficient with Linux systems, containerization, cloud platforms, and IoT security compliance.
Capable of supporting continuous operations with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills, and comfortable collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a 24/7 operational environment.
