Design, develop, and support NAS file protocols (SMB, NFS) and storage system solutions involving filesystem and I/O layers.
Perform complex debugging, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting across OS, storage, networking, and protocol layers to resolve issues related to mounting, file sharing, authentication, caching, failover, and performance.
Develop and maintain low-level utilities and tools in C/C++, support validation for data integrity and resiliency, and collaborate across teams to reproduce and fix product issues.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics, or related field.
Around 15 years of experience in systems engineering, storage engineering, or protocol engineering.
Strong expertise in NAS file protocols such as SMB and NFS with strong C/C++ programming skills.
Work location requirement: Hybrid with approximately 2 days per week on-site at HPE office.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Deep technical expertise in NAS file protocols and storage system internals, including performance tuning and troubleshooting at system and network layers.
Demonstrated experience working with Linux/Unix OS, system calls, file systems, and distributed systems in complex environments.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional debugging and root cause analysis efforts, and develop low-level system tools and automation scripts for diagnostics.
