Lead and manage compliance engineering efforts for HIPAA and FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 programs, translating regulatory requirements into actionable backlog items with defined scope and ownership.
Coordinate and support third-party audits by managing evidence requests, mapping controls to audit requirements, and collaborating with security, privacy, and legal teams to meet deadlines.
Develop and maintain compliance status reports and automation scripts/dashboards to improve audit efficiency and track control effectiveness across cloud platforms.
Minimum Requirements
6-15 years of overall IT experience.
Experience in security/privacy compliance, GRC, or compliance engineering, specifically supporting HIPAA and/or FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 programs.
Hands-on experience with third-party audits such as SOC 2, FedRAMP, or HITRUST, including evidence collection and compliance control mapping.
Experience with cloud environments like AWS GovCloud and/or Azure Government, including knowledge of IAM/RBAC, encryption/KMS, audit logging, data retention, and deletion controls.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong ability to translate complex compliance/regulatory language into detailed, estimable engineering tasks using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with ISRM, Privacy, Legal, SRE, and cloud platform teams, indicating strong coordination in regulated environments.
Background supporting legal-tech, healthcare, or government SaaS products handling regulated data increases fit for the role.
