Senior/Lead Security Engineer - AKAMAI

Manage and fine-tune Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules and policies using Akamai tools such as Kona Site Defender.

Investigate, handle, and resolve security incidents related to web application threats and conduct security assessments of web applications' WAF configurations and overall posture.

Detect, analyze attack patterns, anomalies, and vulnerabilities affecting web applications, providing ongoing support and expertise to the client's security team.

6-15 years of IT experience with hands-on use of Akamai WAF or comparable Akamai security tools.

Strong knowledge of web application security principles including OWASP Top 10, DDoS mitigation, and bot management.

Experience in adjusting WAF rules, managing false positives, and real-world incident response related to web applications.

Strong English communication skills and ability to work independently in a team environment.

Experienced security engineer with deep expertise specifically in Akamai WAF technologies and web application security.

Demonstrates capability to operate independently while adapting quickly within a multi-national security team environment.

Possesses practical skills in incident response and security assessments focused on web application threats.
