Lead HIPAA and FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 compliance efforts by translating regulatory requirements into scoped engineering backlog items.
Manage third-party audit processes including evidence collection, control mapping, and stakeholder coordination to meet auditor timelines.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and dashboards to reduce manual compliance work and generate ongoing compliance status reports.
Minimum Requirements
6-15 years of overall IT experience.
Experience in security/privacy compliance, GRC, or compliance engineering supporting HIPAA and/or FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 programs.
Proven ability to translate compliance requirements into estimable tasks using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
Hands-on experience supporting third-party audits such as SOC 2, FedRAMP, or HITRUST including evidence management and auditor liaison.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in working with cloud environments AWS GovCloud and/or Azure Government focusing on IAM/RBAC, encryption, audit logging, and data lifecycle controls.
Strong background in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across security, privacy, legal, and engineering for compliance program delivery.
Proficient in scripting/automation (Python/Bash) to streamline audit evidence collection and compliance testing processes.
