Database Engineer Lead - AVP

Lead design, optimization, and operation of Azure-based database platforms supporting regulatory reporting technology.

Drive performance tuning, resilience, automation, cloud adoption, and incident resolution for high-volume, business-critical environments.

Mentor engineers and serve as senior escalation point for database-related issues; collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure platforms.

Extensive experience with SQL Server and Azure SQL, including database administration, architecture, and performance tuning.

Strong expertise with Azure cloud services, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.

Proven technical leadership experience in complex enterprise environments.

Permanent full-time role based in Bangalore or Pune with hybrid working.

Experienced in operating and leading database engineering within cloud-based, enterprise-scale financial services platforms.

Skilled in balancing hands-on technical work with team mentorship and cross-team collaboration.

Comfortable working in a regulated, high-availability, high-volume financial technology environment with stakeholder management responsibilities.
