Sr. UX Designer

Own user experience design for the Johnson Controls OpenBlue platform, focusing on intuitive, user-centric digital experiences for smarter, safer, sustainable buildings.

Lead medium to large UX projects including research initiatives, design deliverables (wireframes, prototypes, personas, journey maps), and maintaining WCAG-compliant design components and AI design patterns.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design teams in an agile environment to align designs with customer needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.

Bachelor’s degree or higher (BA/BS or advanced degree).

8+ years of experience in UX/UI design and methodologies.

Proficient in industry-standard wireframing, graphic design, usability, and prototyping software.

Basic understanding of accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.2AA) and experience designing across desktop, mobile web, mobile app, and enterprise software platforms.

Experienced in leading UX projects and managing design components with attention to accessibility and consistency.

Collaborative working style with global, cross-disciplinary agile teams including engineering and product leadership.

Open to exploring and integrating AI tools to augment UX research, ideation, and design tasks.
