Own reliability, performance, security, and scalability of a multi-database environment including PostgreSQL (RDS/Aurora), OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and Neo4j on AWS.
Manage high availability, disaster recovery, automated provisioning (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes), monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch), and incident response including on-call duties.
Advise application and AI/ML teams on database design and platform choice, especially for AI workloads using vector search technologies like pgvector and OpenSearch vector engine.
Minimum Requirements
4 to 7 years experience administering production PostgreSQL on AWS RDS/Aurora plus operational experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch or Neo4j.
Proficient with automation and DevOps tooling: Terraform, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, and scripting (Python/Bash).
Strong knowledge in backup, failover, performance tuning, and data modeling across platforms.
Work Experience Required: 4 to 7 years in relevant DBRE and AWS database management roles.
