Own design, delivery, and quality of cloud-native subscriber-management features on cnBNG Control Plane for carrier-grade broadband services.
Develop and maintain microservices in C/C++/Go on Kubernetes, implement session handling, CP-UP separation, scale and redundancy features, and validate through automation and testing.
Mentor junior engineers, lead investigations across Control Plane and Silicon One UPFs, and use AI-assisted tools responsibly for development and testing.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
8-14 years experience required as implied by job title; specific experience required in systems/embedded or cloud-native software for networking products.
Proficient in programming with C/C++ and/or Go on Linux; Python for test automation; experience with IP networking protocols including PPPoE, IPoE, DHCPv4/v6, RADIUS/AAA.
Knowledge of Cisco Silicon One UPFs, cloud-native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), build automation with pyATS/Genie or equivalent, and AI-assisted engineering tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in implementing large-scale, highly available distributed control plane systems with deep understanding of subscriber management and broadband protocols.
Comfortable working end-to-end from design through scale/performance validation, integrating with complex user plane architectures such as Cisco Silicon One.
Experienced in automation-first development with modern CI/CD pipelines and responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools in production environments.
