Define and own end-to-end technical architecture for Walmart International Warehouse Management System (WMS) platform services, ensuring scalability, robustness, and security.
Drive design and delivery of Java-based cloud native microservices, including AI-assisted spec generation, event-driven patterns, resilient distributed systems, and full-stack feature development with React and Node.js.
Lead cross-organization architectural alignment, maintain CI/CD pipelines, enforce security compliance, implement observability, and mentor senior and mid-level engineers to improve platform reliability and engineering excellence.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field (Master’s preferred but not mandatory).
Minimum 12+ years of experience building cloud-based, highly resilient and scalable systems.
Strong technical skills including Java 17/21, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, SQL and NoSQL databases, React, Node.js, cloud platforms (Azure/GCP/AWS), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Work location: Bangalore office with some flexibility (based on JD).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in large-scale e-commerce or retail supply chain platforms, preferably with practical WMS domain expertise.
Demonstrated ability to architect and deliver complex, distributed systems with focus on scalability, security, and performance at multi-billion dollar business scale and multi-country deployments.
Skilled in modern architecture best practices (domain-driven design, event-driven patterns, API-first approach), cloud native technologies, and mentoring senior engineers in a collaborative cross-org environment.
