Lead a team of engineers responsible for Linux and VMware initiator stack behavior, Fibre Channel, and NIC drivers on Pure Storage arrays.
Develop, debug, and optimize storage protocol stacks including NVME, FC-SCSI, and iSCSI interfaces for Linux and VMware initiators, enhancing both performance and compatibility.
Maintain and improve Fibre Channel SCSI target drivers and NIC drivers with focus on bug fixes, enhancements, and reliability improvements for Pure Storage systems.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 5 years development experience, typically candidates have 15+ years.
Strong experience in writing Linux/Unix device drivers and kernel development, specifically in storage and/or networking drivers.
Experience with storage protocols such as SCSI (FC-SCSI or iSCSI/FCP) and/or NVME Fabrics (NVME/ROCE, NVME/TCP, NVME/FC).
Experience with C, C++, Python, VMware initiator stacks, performance optimization, and debugging complex storage attach issues.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced technical leader capable of mentoring engineers and leading projects focused on storage systems and protocol stacks.
Proven track record in developing, debugging, and optimizing kernel-level code and device drivers especially in storage or networking domains.
Comfortable working with Linux kernel upstreaming, storage performance tuning, and complex multi-protocol environments involving Fibre Channel, NVME, and Ethernet.
