Design, implement, and maintain IBM Z Mainframe I/O configurations using HCD and IOCP, including IOCDS definitions and configuration changes.
Support hardware upgrades, CPC activations, hardware migrations, data center relocations, and disaster recovery planning/testing.
Manage channel paths, DASD, tape subsystems, FICON infrastructure, LPAR configurations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for optimal system performance.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years of experience in Mainframe I/O Configuration with expertise in HCD and IOCP.
Experience with IBM Z CPC hardware, z/OS IPL planning/execution, channel path management, and hardware migration.
Knowledge of FICON architecture, DASD configuration, enterprise storage, tape infrastructure, and GDPS concepts.
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware ESXi, cloud environments, Active Directory, security compliance, and automation/IaC technologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in hands-on IBM Z mainframe hardware, I/O configurations, and large-scale infrastructure modernization projects.
Capable of coordinating hardware installation, migrations, and disaster recovery activities with vendors and multiple technical teams.
Proficient in cross-functional collaboration involving storage, network, systems programming, and operations within enterprise or data center environments.
