Design, build, and scale backend systems and frontend (Vue 3) interfaces powering Threads & Composer experiences handling billions of messages monthly.
Own end-to-end components including architecture, design docs, code, tests, rollout, dashboards, and production health for critical conversation platform services.
Optimize data stores, queueing pipelines, caching, and resource tuning on GCP infrastructure (GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks) to ensure system reliability and scalability.
Minimum Requirements
4+ years backend engineering experience with deep Node.js and/or Go expertise.
Strong systems knowledge including application, database (MongoDB, Firestore), and cloud infra on GCP (Kubernetes, autoscaling).
Experience with queueing/async processing systems such as Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Cloud Tasks.
Expertise in database indexing, sharding, replication, caching (Redis), and safe migrations on large-scale NoSQL or SQL data stores.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced with production-scale systems handling billions of events monthly and multi-layer debugging (app, database, infra).
Proficient in authoring clear design documents, maintaining system capacity/failure mode considerations as core inputs.
