Lead and grow a backend engineering team responsible for delivering production services with ownership of scope, risk, and roadmap adherence.
Act as key technical and customer communication liaison: unblock engineers and customers by triaging issues, managing escalations, and driving fixes.
Maintain high technical standards in architecture, reviews, testing, and production readiness including incident response and operational practices on GCP and DigitalOcean.
Minimum Requirements
8+ years in software engineering including experience as Engineering Manager or lead with direct people management.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/BTech).
Proficiency in backend technologies including Go and/or Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript), distributed systems (APIs, gRPC, Kafka), and cloud deployment (preferably GCP and DigitalOcean).
Must be comfortable working from office; experience owning backend team delivery and handling customer/production escalations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in managing backend engineering teams with strong delivery and operational accountability in SaaS or performance marketing environments.
Strong communicator capable of translating technical issues clearly to customers and leadership, and managing escalations end-to-end.
Hands-on technical leader able to review code/designs, debug complex systems, utilize production monitoring tools, and leverage AI-assisted development tools without compromising quality.
