Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test suites for API, UI, backend, integration, and end-to-end workflows using Python, Pytest, and Playwright.
Drive an API-first automation strategy primarily for microservices and platform capabilities, ensuring coverage of REST APIs, service integrations, data validation, and complex workflows across security products like SIEM and ThreatQ.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and participate in architecture discussions to improve testability, reliability, and influence quality engineering best practices, including mentoring junior engineers.
Minimum Requirements
5-8 years experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SDET roles.
Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with Pytest (fixtures, parametrization, reusable libraries) and Playwright for UI automation.
Proven experience with REST API testing, microservices architecture, SQL/backend validation, and integrating automation with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Good understanding of Git, Linux/Unix environments, software testing principles, Agile development, and defect management tools like JIRA.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in architecting scalable test automation frameworks for complex distributed microservices-based products in cybersecurity or comparable domains.
Comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of quality outcomes for features spanning API, UI, backend, and data workflows with strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities.
