About This Role

Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug medium to large software enhancements and solutions within Charles River’s business and technical problem domains.

Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to transform moderately complex business requirements into sustainable software.

Provide technical leadership via code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, supporting production issues (L3/L4), and participating actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies.

Minimum Requirements

8+ years of professional software engineering experience in core and enterprise Java, including collections API, concurrency, multithreading, JDBC, and web services.

Minimum 2 years of financial services domain experience with exposure to OMS and EMS systems.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.

Experience with Java, Spring frameworks, and enterprise-grade application development, including unit testing and debugging.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experienced in building highly transactional, concurrent, event-driven systems, preferably with financial trading systems background.

Familiar with cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure), modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).

Strong collaboration skills working in cross-functional Agile teams and capable of applying AI-enabled software development tools to improve productivity.
