Design, develop, and maintain Android/Fire TV applications and backend services supporting subscriptions, payments, and entitlement workflows.
Build and integrate Fire TV In-App Purchase capabilities including purchases, renewals, cancellations, and entitlement synchronization with app-store APIs and payment platforms.
Develop scalable, resilient backend systems in Go or Java optimized for high concurrency and large traffic spikes during live sports and major content releases.
Minimum Requirements
4-7 years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on Android development using Kotlin and/or Java.
Proficient backend development experience in Go or Java, including frameworks like Spring Boot or Go service frameworks.
Experience with Android TV or Fire TV application development is highly desirable.
Experience with REST APIs, microservices, SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), caching (Redis), event-streaming technologies (Kafka), AWS or similar cloud platforms, and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Able to independently own and deliver end-to-end features across both Android and backend layers in a scalable production environment.
Experienced in building high-performance, reliable systems designed for massive user bases and traffic spikes especially in subscription and payment domains.
Skilled in collaborating across multiple engineering domains (Android, backend, platform, payments) and handling complex distributed system challenges like asynchronous processing and transaction reconciliation.
