Design and build scalable Java backend services and REST APIs for subscriptions, payments, and user entitlements in the Fire TV In-App Purchase ecosystem.
Develop and operate highly available, fault-tolerant, and performant transaction-processing systems capable of handling major traffic spikes.
Integrate with external payment providers and app stores, managing workflows including purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds with a focus on idempotency and data consistency.
Minimum Requirements
7+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Java and Spring Boot expertise.
Proficient in RESTful API and microservices design, distributed systems, concurrency, asynchronous processing, and transaction management.
Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), Redis caching, Kafka or similar messaging platforms, AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and strong skills in production debugging and performance optimization.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced architect and system designer with a proven track record of building high-throughput, low-latency, and highly available systems.
Able to independently drive complex platform integrations and participate in architecture and code reviews.
Strong understanding of failure handling, distributed systems, and event-driven asynchronous workflows in large-scale backend environments.
