Lead governance and risk management activities adhering to CRI, NIST, internal tech standards, and regulations across Synchrony’s global technology infrastructure.
Accountable for issue remediation, audits and regulatory examination support, policy lifecycle management, risk acceptance, and exception management.
Provide regular metrics and status updates on risk and governance activities to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of 1st Line of Defense experience or 12+ years experience in lieu of degree.
Strong knowledge of IT controls and experience managing governance and risk programs in regulated environments.
Work timings require availability between 06:00 AM - 11:30 AM Eastern Time aligned with US teams; remaining hours flexible.
Experience Required: 1st Line of Defense experience required; total relevant experience minimum 10+ years with degree.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced leader in technology governance/risk within financial services or consumer finance sectors.
Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams (Technology, Audit, Compliance, Risk) and manage complex regulatory compliance programs.
Comfortable operating across US and India time zones with ability to support audits, risk acceptance processes, and policy management at senior levels.
