Develop platform software for next-generation networking products including board bring-up, interface drivers (10G to 400G), and platform infrastructure such as chassis and optics.
Deliver product developments on either JunOS or Junos Evolved software architecture with accountability for highest quality through collaboration with system and solution test teams.
Provide engineering support for critical customer escalations working closely with the Juniper Technical Assistance Team.
Minimum Requirements
BTech or MTech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
At least 5 years of proven work experience in software development related to networking products.
In-depth knowledge of data networking protocols including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and Routing; proficiency with device drivers, system bring-up, FreeBSD/Linux internals.
Strong programming skills in C/C++, object-oriented analysis and design, data structures, and debugging; understanding of hardware details like Optics, PCIe, SPI, I2C, and firmware components.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in platform software development for complex networking products, preferably in routing and switching domains involving high-speed interfaces (10G to 400G).
Technically strong developer with deep system-level knowledge of networking OS internals, drivers, and hardware-software interactions, enabling effective problem resolution and product quality delivery.
Able to collaborate cross-functionally with testing and support teams, indicating comfort with product lifecycle ownership from development through post-deployment support.
