Lead Software Engineer

Lead design, build, and evolution of high-scale software systems powering guest and internal experiences across Disney platforms.

Organize and lead full software development lifecycle including architecture, programming, debugging, and incident resolution for 24/7 high-volume applications.

Mentor and coach software engineers, drive technical direction, and collaborate cross-functionally to align technology solutions with business goals.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Minimum 7 years of industry experience in software development on large, scalable systems and high-scale environments.

Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript, Python) and experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, cloud hosting, and security frameworks like OAuth and JWT.

Experience working in agile environments managing team rituals, releases, and continuous value delivery.

Demonstrated ability to lead complex software projects and act as primary technical point of contact for stakeholders.

Experience with backend development of cloud-hosted distributed systems focusing on performance, reliability, and security.

Strong mentorship and communication skills to influence technical direction and foster team collaboration in high-scale environments.
