Partner closely with US-based Lead Data Engineer to reverse-engineer and document client's existing systems landscape including CRM, ERP, MDM, and legacy data stores.
Design and iterate the account's core data schema from scratch, producing clear documentation and validating schema through early-stage pipeline prototypes with real or representative data.
Direct AI coding agents to accelerate schema exploration, data profiling, and pipeline prototyping, ensuring schema supports current and prospective business requirements before handoff to engineering team.
Minimum Requirements
8+ years of data engineering experience including schema/data model design from scratch.
Strong expertise in data modeling fundamentals such as normalization, entity-relationship design, and key/index strategy.
Hands-on experience with SQL, modern data platforms, and building data pipelines for schema validation.
Experience using AI coding agents for development acceleration as part of an agent-orchestrated model.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in investigating and documenting complex or legacy data systems to inform new schema design rather than extending existing models.
Comfortable working collaboratively in an iterative manner with senior counterparts rather than on fully specified tasks.
Skilled at producing detailed data model documentation to guide architects and engineering teams, with familiarity across CRM, ERP, and MDM environments being a plus.
