Own quality validation for Cisco IOS XR routing and Broadband Network Gateway features by designing test strategies and developing automation.
Validate complex customer scenarios and troubleshoot system-level failures using logs, protocol traces, telemetry, and packet captures.
Mentor junior engineers, improve test frameworks, integrate AI-assisted tools to accelerate test generation and engineering workflows.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
4 to 8 years of experience in software engineering, network product testing, test automation, or quality engineering.
Strong knowledge of BNG architecture, Layer 2/3 networking (TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS), and experience with Cisco IOS XR or equivalent carrier-grade NOS.
Advanced Python skills for test automation; experience with Linux/Unix, Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud/container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, OpenStack).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in testing carrier-grade routing platforms with strong expertise in BNG subscriber management and Layer 2/3 protocols.
Proficient in developing scalable automation frameworks and operating Linux-based test environments including virtualization and containerization.
