Data-driven signals on your job's competitivenessSenior, highly specialized C++/HPC database role in Bangalore reduces applicant density despite metro location.
Highly specialized systems and HPC database skills limit cross-industry transferability.
Mandatory 8+ years low-level C++, MPI/OpenMP, RDMA and SIMD expertise makes shortlisting very strict.
Job Description
Structured overview of role & requirementsAbout This Role
Lead design and development of a massively parallel distributed database engine powering large-scale real-time retail and consumer analytics.
Build and optimize low-latency, high-throughput C++ backend systems focusing on HPC, SIMD vectorization, distributed memory, and network performance.
Architect and implement core components including query execution engines, storage layers, distributed transactions, cluster coordination, and in-database machine learning inference frameworks.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field; Master's preferred for senior roles.
8+ years hands-on professional experience in modern C++ (C++17/20/23), including template metaprogramming and custom memory allocators.
Expertise in HPC distributed programming using MPI, OpenMP, and MapReduce with experience in SIMD intrinsics and hardware-level optimization.
Proven experience with database internals such as vectorized query operators, LSM-trees, B-trees, custom buffer pools, and columnar serialization.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in architecting and optimizing large-scale MPP database kernels integrating HPC and big data workloads.
Demonstrates deep expertise in low-level system programming, microarchitectural optimization, and concurrency mechanics related to lock-free data structures and atomics.
Ability to operate effectively in a globally distributed elite engineering team focusing on production-grade, highly performant distributed database systems.
