Define and architect end-to-end Software Download (SWDL) and Over-the-Air (OTA) update solutions across vehicle ECUs and platforms, including bootloader, package management, installation, rollback, and recovery.
Lead design and integration of automotive software update frameworks using protocols like UDS, DoIP, CAN, Automotive Ethernet ensuring scalability and reliability.
Collaborate cross-functionally with cybersecurity, platform, safety, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver secure, production-ready OTA update systems.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
8 to 14+ years of experience in automotive embedded software development with strong expertise in SWDL and OTA/FOTA architectures.
Hands-on experience with Bootloader development, Embedded C, AUTOSAR, MCAL, device drivers, CAN, UDS, DoIP, and ECU flashing concepts.
Strong knowledge of automotive cybersecurity including HSM, secure boot, cryptographic signing, verification, rollback protection, and key management.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced leader capable of driving complex architectures for software updates in automotive embedded systems with multi-protocol expertise.
Familiar with automotive standard tools (Vector DaVinci, CANoe, Trace32 Lauterbach) and microcontroller platforms (Infineon AURIX, NXP).
Has exposure to OTA campaign management, UNECE R156, ISO 24089, and multi-ECU update orchestration in OEM or global automotive platforms.
