Assistant Manager - Warehouse Operations - Economic Zones - Chennai

Oversee multi-shift warehouse operations of a large facility (150,000+ sq ft) ensuring peak efficiency in inventory management, equipment utilization, and shipping with timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Manage and train warehouse teams, maintain manpower planning, monitor KPIs and SLAs related to inbound/outbound TAT, and ensure zero inventory variance through audits.

Coordinate cross-departmentally for workflow optimization, documentation, compliance, and operational data capture to maintain quality and productivity standards.

8-12 years of experience managing large warehouses (150,000+ sq ft) with multiple clients/products/SKUs in industries like FMCG, Telecom, Electronics, E-Commerce, or 3PL.

Familiarity with modern warehouse management systems (WMS such as Oracle/SAP or homegrown) and technology-driven processes for putaway and picking.

Minimum education: Graduation/Post Graduation/Diploma; Six Sigma or relevant warehouse management certifications preferred.

Experience managing blue-collar workforce and coordinating with departments like Transport, HR/IR; proficient in MS Office and communication.

Experienced warehouse manager skilled in large-scale facility operations with a proven track record in optimizing costs, space, and process efficiency across multi-client environments.

Comfortable working in industries demanding high-performance cargo handling like FMCG, Telecom, Electronics, E-Commerce, or 3PLs.

Strong operational focus on manpower planning, workflow analysis, and adherence to strict KPIs/SLA targets in a multi-shift setup.
