Develop and maintain VS Code extensions and developer productivity tools using JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js with a focus on editor features like syntax highlighting, code completion, diagnostics, and UI enhancements.
Design, evolve, and maintain Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs) using Langium or similar technologies including grammar definition, semantic validation, and artifact generation.
Integrate DSL tooling into CI/CD pipelines, automate toolchain processes, write tests, and produce developer documentation to ensure high-quality and user-friendly tools.
Minimum Requirements
3-5 years of software development experience focusing on developer tooling, IDE plugins, or language engineering.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and hands-on experience with VS Code extension development.
Practical experience with Langium or similar language workbenches (e.g., Xtext, MPS) and understanding of LSP and DAP protocols.
Experience with Python scripting for automation and Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline integration.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in building and maintaining complex VS Code extensions and DSL tooling in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
