About This Role
- Lead design and development of large-scale, high-volume software systems including backend services, APIs, and integrations for Disney Experiences platforms.
- Organize and lead engineering efforts across UI, services, and integrations; mentor and coach engineering team members while guiding technical direction and architecture.
- Own problem analysis, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for 24/7 applications ensuring reliability and seamless user experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years of industry experience in software development on large, scalable systems and high-scale environments.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript, Python) with experience in front-end and service development, RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with databases (relational, document, caches), security frameworks (OAuth, JWT), cloud hosting, and working in Agile environments.

- Experienced technical lead with strong subject matter expertise capable of acting as primary technical point of contact and influencing technical direction.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach engineers, drive team accountability, and collaborate across business and technology partners.
- Comfortable managing complex, high-volume distributed systems in cloud environments with a focus on performance, reliability, and continuous delivery.
