Own the safety-related software architecture ensuring correct allocation, implementation, and verification of technical safety requirements.
Derive software safety requirements and architecture from system-level technical safety concepts and interfaces; define safety mechanisms including partitioning and diagnostic coverage.
Lead software safety analyses (FTA/DFA), manage assumptions and constraints, and coordinate cross-functionally with system, hardware, cybersecurity, platform, and validation teams.
Minimum Requirements
10–15 years of relevant work experience in embedded software architecture, safety, or related fields.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
Strong expertise in embedded C/C++, AUTOSAR/RTOS, ECU architecture, and practical ISO 26262 Part 6 knowledge including ASIL decomposition and software safety analysis.
Experience with architecture modeling, requirements engineering, verification, Automotive SPICE, and leading customer and assessor technical reviews.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in leading end-to-end functional safety software architecture lifecycle, from concept through production and operations support.
Demonstrates expertise in software safety analysis techniques and managing safety mechanism integration with traceability and verification deliverables.
Preferably certified in functional safety, skilled in model-based development, SEooC and SOTIF interface knowledge to bridge system and software safety aspects.
